Short Valentine Poems
(Following the Japanese Haiku style only as far as the 5,7,5 syllable rule goes.)
Isaiah 66:11 So that you may take of the comfort flowing from her breasts, and be delighted with the full measure of her glory.
Moderate my pace,
But impetuous my heart
For your exquisite face.
*******
I guess at your thoughts.
If you could only read mine,
I'd blush crimson red.
********
I've not met you, but
In dreams we walk hand in hand,
Saying not a word.
*****
There's no way to tell
How your loveliness defies
The sun's lustrous glow.
*******
With lights out, I spied
On you last night. Did you know?
You were just as fair.
****
My lonesome arms ache,
Weary of imagined you.
Tangible is best.
*******
I cry for you, love,
Til all the earth grows weary
Of hearing your name.
*****
Your eyes are portals
Into which I disappear,
Lost to all but you.
***
Thou art: Beauteous, gorgeous,
Ravishing, divine....
Words aren't fair enough.
*******
Are there others here?
There is a world outside us?
I never noticed.
*****
I'll freeze this moment
And place in on the mantle,
Embellished in gold.
