The Dream

I dreamed I saw a fountain as pure as refined gold.
Splaying gleams of light, watery tresses unfold,
Like a story book of old 'bout unrequited love
Wrought to humankind through a Spirit-like dove.

A tree within that garden with fruit unmatched by ours,
Bidding multitudes to feast beneath its laden bowers,
And vision of you seated near made my heart elate,
To think that I could know you there beyond the ruby gate!

To partake of holy visions, and enjoy the noble fruit,
And dwell where founts replenish, will be MY one pursuit.

Eternal eyes meet
And openness and privacy
Become immortal songs
 Far too valuable for words

An epistle vast
Is heard in everlasting realm
Where premonitions here
Reach culminations up there

And angels bend low
To clasp hands with men of this world
One divine exquisite dance

I danced  with boldness
Wile notes of praise
Your name upheld

And sang mightily
Until my heart broken
Would melt

Begging tears upward
Sent back their rain
Unaware

That no vow of my love
Can stir thine heart
But still I dare

Short Valentine Poems
(Following the Japanese Haiku style only as far as the 5,7,5 syllable rule goes.)

Isaiah 66:11 So that you may take of the comfort flowing from her breasts, and be delighted with the full measure of her glory.

Moderate my pace,
But impetuous my heart
For your exquisite face.

*******

I guess at your thoughts.
If you could only read mine,
I'd blush crimson red.

********

I've not met you, but
In dreams we walk hand in hand,
Saying not a word.

*****

There's no way to tell
How your loveliness defies
The sun's lustrous glow.

*******

With lights out, I spied
On you last night. Did you know?
You were just as fair.

****

My lonesome arms ache,
Weary of imagined you.
Tangible is best.

 *******

I cry for you, love,
Til all the earth grows weary
Of hearing your name.

*****

Your eyes are portals
Into which I disappear,
Lost to all but you.

***

Thou art: Beauteous, gorgeous,
Ravishing, divine....
Words aren't fair enough.

*******

Are there others here?
There is a world outside us?
I never noticed.

*****

I'll freeze this moment
And place in on the mantle,
Embellished in gold.

With upraised face,
 you laugh,
And I'm transfixed for the day,
(As born on angel wings)
Wrapped in the joy that is yours,
And mine.

A Day

A twenty four hour piece of time,
In which to dawdle or to race;
To linger slow over morning's brew
Or dash about in haste.

The packed-in hourly tedious tasks
(Duties of agenda's will)
Might belie one's own self worth,
Or else with credence fill.

When earth has orbited the sun,
Days duties laid to rest,
Man's still a man- dust to dust,
Each day, his own bequest.

The light of dawn grows pink.
Her tender rays will melt the frost.
And herbs that nature loves the most,
Become an opium drink.

The robin perched on utmost height,
Endured the midnight chill,
But with a renewed strength of will,
Drinks all, then takes to flight.

My heart is utmost dark and frost-
Your sympathy, the light.
I drink you to dispel the night-
An antidote I like the most.
